Cesvaine’s cheese

For decades, Cesvaine has been proud of its local cheese. Loved equally by locals and guests, nowhere does it taste better than in Cesvaine. Come and try yourself.

The joint-stock company AS “Cesvaines Piens” manufactures high-quality semi-hard cheeses from a Latvian-sourced milk, and it is also the leading bio-cheese manufacturer in Latvia. The most important produce is cheese (around 30% of the produce is exported).
Exportability of the company shows their ability to remain competitive over times, despite various hardships.

The company has been known as AS “Cesvaines Piens” since 1997, when a small dairy plant, that had been established in 1921, was transformed. So the company has more than 100 years long tradition in milk processing.
