Krustkalnu Nature Reserve – one of the four reserves in Latvia

Nature reserve is an area protected by the state under the strictest protection conditions. Visitations are allowed only under guidance of the reserve's staff. Signing up should be done 1-3 days before the visitation.
Krustkalnu Nature Reserve was established in 1977. Here you can see high peaks of hills and deep depressions with small lakes and marshes, as well as many springs. In such circumstances, the reserve Krustkalni has developed a rich flora and fauna. The reserve covers area of 2,978 ha. The largest area of the territory is covered with forests.

*Visits to the path are only allowed accompanied by an employee of the Nature Conservation Agency from 1st May until 31st October, visitor group size no more than 15 persons. Visits require advance registration.
